Nick Forman- Managing Director

With over 20 years’ experience, Nick has a broad range of expertise in Structural Engineering. Prior to forming BDI he spent five years with a leading consultancy, six years with a Specialist Foundations Contractor and three years handling technical building claims with a firm of Loss Adjusters.

He has extensive experience in the diagnosis of building defects, including foundation problems, concrete repairs and historic buildings, proven skills and considerable experience designing engineering structures for a wide range of new and refurbishment projects and an extensive knowledge of the insurance claims process. His own particular passion is the re-development and alterations of existing buildings.

Nick is actively involved with the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE) at a local and national level; he also sits on the Industry Panel for the Civil & Structural Engineering Department of Bolton University.

Nick formed BDI Structural Solutions in 2003 to provide practical, cost effective structural engineering from a dynamic forward thinking engineering consultancy.
