How do you calculate fees?
We calculate fees based on the time we will need to spend on your project/survey. Once we have calculated this is most instances we then confirm this as a fixed fee.

How long will a survey take?
We aim to complete all surveys and issue reports within 5 working days

What types of surveys you do?
There are two main types of structural surveys. If you have a particular problem which needs assessing then you will require a Specific defect survey and for overall building inspection then a general inspection survey will be needed. If you are unsure with what type of survey you require contact our team who will be happy to advise.

Is your advice insured?
We carry Professional Indemnity Insurance for all our advice

Do you work on residential properties?
We undertake work on both residential and commercial properties. We are happy to advice on small structural alterations or structure to domestic extensions through to new large bespoke residential properties.

How far will you travel?
We generally work within the North West of England but we have a number of clients who use us nationally to advise on their structural matters

What health and safety standards do you follow?
As structural engineers and designers we are required to comply with the requirements of the CDM (Construction Design & Management) Regulations. We consider Health and Safety from the outset of all our structural designs. We ensure the structure is buildable with the minimum of risks to the Contractor and general public. We provide risk assessments and method statements to assist the Contractor in implementing a safe method of working for a project.

I think my building is suffering from subsidence is this something you can help with?
Yes we can undertake a structural inspection and advise whether subsidence is affecting the property. We can arrange for site investigations to establish ground conditions. We can then provide advice on what type of repairs will be needed to rectify the problem and also give you advise and guidance on making an insurance claim for the problem.

I am thinking of building an extension on my home, are you able to help me make sure the structure is safe?
We advise on all elements of structural design and provide details and drawings for construction and building regulation approval. We have a specific service tailored to provide advice, calculations and guidance on the structural requirements whilst keeping fee costs to a minimum.
