Huddersfield Civic Society have awarded CastleHills new property both the 2015 Residential Project of the Year and The Overall Project of the Year at the recent awards ceremony.
BDI were the Structural Engineers for the project.
David Cambridge, Development Director at CastleHill Capital wrote an article that goes into detail about the project:
“The Grade II Listed Building has been transformed from office and storage into 36 impressive studio student rooms, each with private en-suit bathrooms and own kitchens with high quality furniture and decoration throughout including a vibrant communal room.”

As the winner of the Overall Project of the Year the judges explained that it was successful for “demonstrating careful restoration or historic architectural features with the addition of a contemporary new entrance feature and provision of quality student accommodation within. An important improvement within the Town Centre Conservation Area and its relationship with other notable buildings”.
