Structural Surveys
If you are concerned about the condition of a building structure or if you want to alter the building, a structural survey is an appropriate place to start. Alternatively a home buyers survey or valuation survey may have raised concerns over a structural issue and may have requested a structural survey to be completed to fully access the building.
A survey will establish whether the property is in a structurally sound condition and whether there are any signs of disrepair that require attention. Surveys often identify any early signs of a defect so that inexpensive actions can be put into effect to prevent the onset of more significant damage.
BDI have an experienced team of Structural Surveyors who have extensive knowledge of structural surveys associated with house sales and purchases, commercial buildings, historical buildings and defects as a result of incidents such as fire, flood or impact damage etc.
There are different types of surveys and if you are in any doubt as to which one is right for you then the BDI team will be able to help.
